23 Aaron Quits Odyssey Team & Development To Be A Resource For Other Developers
This Sunday afternoon, the Odyssey team officially announced the name of their upcoming rootless Cheyote jailbreak for iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1, while the Zebra team also announced Zebra 2, which will be a complete app design with enhancements for the iPad. interface, the way users search for packages, and many other changes. But that’s not all we’ve learned.
It seems that the main player of the Odyssey Team, more specifically @23Aaron_, is making the difficult decision to retire and be replaced by @Jioriku and @elihwyma. The former will dedicate their time to releasing updated versions of the Cheyote jailbreak tool, while the latter will instead focus mainly on developing the front-end of the jailbreak app.
Less well known is the fact that 23 Aaron was also the lead designer of Zebra’s package management application. In fact, they were instrumental in developing the redesign from scratch that we showed you earlier today in the upcoming Zebra 2 update.
23 Aaron is taking a step back from building a jailbreak community and will instead hang out as a fan, educate and help other developers who might need help getting started with jailbreak development. Similarly, 23 Aaron will be able to help existing developers as they try to make their jailbreak settings compatible with a dynamic no-root jailbreak delivery with Cheyote.
23 Aaron will continue to be active in the jailbreak community, such as on Twitter and on /r/jailbreak, even though he has given up building and developing things for him, which we think offers incredible resources for those who fills the vacuum that will remain. behind.
Having said all that, the little shake-up we’re seeing here won’t create problems for the future jailbreak community, but rather create friendly resources that jailbreak developers can use as needed to continue doing what they do best: create and suggest jailbreak tweaks to the masses.
As you digest all the latest developments in the jailbreak community this weekend, be sure to discuss your thoughts on everything in the comments section below.
