How to get a boat in Genshin Impact (Waverider controls)

Waverider is a vehicle that players can use in Genshin Impact to move from one part of the map to another after the release of version 1.6. If you are wondering how to get a boat in Genshin Impact, how to summon it, and what are the controls to navigate and fight it, this guide will help you.

How to get and summon a boat (Waverider) in Genshin Impact

First you need to unlock the Waverider Waypoint in the Inazuma Region and the Golden Apple Archipelago.

Players need to reach AR 30 to enter this region, and another prerequisite is to complete the Archon Quest, Chapter 2: Prologue – Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves. Once you get to the Waverider waypoint, activate it to summon a boat. Swim to its exact location and climb onto it by pressing the hint button. You are now ready to use it to travel to another location on the water.

• F key: get on the boat
• Heavy Cannon – E
• Rapid Strike Cannon – Left Click
• Acceleration – Right Click/Shift

• Square: Get on the Waverider

Things to remember about the Waverider

• Players can use boat attacks to either damage enemies from the Waverider itself, or you can use it to destroy Hilichurl’s underwater structures.
• You can use engine stamina to increase boat speed, and this is different from your character’s stamina.
• The boat also has some HP, and if you use the Waverider Repair Toolbox gadget, you can recover 50%. In the event that the boat takes a lot of damage and its health becomes zero, you will be removed from it. Meanwhile, you won’t take damage while you’re inside the boat. But if you want to log out, you can also log out yourself by pressing and holding the space bar.
