Google Stadia launches Party Stream to stream your gaming sessions with your friends
Google Stadia has an exciting new feature. Party Stream allows you to stream your games to up to 9 users. This feature is currently limited to desktops and Android.
Google Stadia is still alive and the service continues to expand. The American giant has proposed a number of updates that will make it easier to stream games. XDA developers are reporting that Stadia will soon introduce a brand new feature called Party Stream, which, as the name suggests, allows players to stream their session privately with up to nine other users who can play or just watch. Users can take advantage of Stadia’s group chat features during these streams, including emoji and voice reactions. A Google representative confirmed the information to Engadget via email.
Google Stadia has a cool new feature
Stadia already allows gamers to directly share their gaming sessions on YouTube. The Party Stream feature is perfect for players who don’t want to broadcast their games to the whole world, but prefer to share them with a few friends. We have already seen how platforms like Discord (with its Go Live feature) jumped into this particular streaming segment. Party Stream also frees Stadia players from having to use Twitch to share sessions with friends, which requires downloading a third-party encoder.
Party Stream allows you to stream your games to up to 9 users.
Other new features for players include the ability to switch devices mid-game without interrupting the live stream. For example, you can start streaming a Stadia game from your PC and resume it on your Android device without interrupting your stream.
The feature is currently limited to desktops and Android.
According to XDA Developers, Party Stream’s rollout has already begun and should be completed. If not, then in the coming days. However, please be aware that the functionality is currently limited to desktops and Android devices. No doubt it will be available for more devices in the near future.
