Hogwarts Legacy: How Sorting Will Work
Hogwarts Legacy is an upcoming action RPG set to release in February 2023. Although it was previously scheduled to be released this year, its release has been pushed back to a later date. But that didn’t stop the hype around the real Potterheads waiting their turn. Some players, such as Hogwarts students, do not understand the sorting process in the game. And since it plays a crucial role in the universe, all this needs to be sorted out. So, check out our guide on how sorting will work in Hogwarts Legacy to find out.
How sorting will work in Hogwarts Legacy
Despite the influence of the Sorting Hat, you can choose one of the four houses to your liking in Hogwarts Legacy. It’s a relief for students like Harry Potter himself who didn’t have much of an idea of the wizarding world at first. You can also import your sorted house from your Wizarding World account into the game. Along with the sorted house, you will receive a Patronus and a Wand from the account. To compensate for the late release, the WB also gave players two exclusive magic gifts. But to do this, you need to link your Harry Potter fan club account to your WB account.
The first step to entering the Wizarding World of Hogwarts is the distribution to different faculties. While the Sorting Hat implements this process in a much more complex way in the books and movies, the game takes a different approach. In the books/movies, the Sorting Hat read the students’ minds and determined which house would give them the most trouble. Sorting is arguably the most important part of your Hogwarts journey.
Can you imagine a thick-skinned Snape in a Gryffindor house? Or one of the Weasleys in Slytherin House? No! This is why Sorting is critical to your character and the people you meet at Hogwarts.
How many houses are there?
Hogwarts Legacy will feature the same houses featured in the Harry Potter films and books. They are the following:
- Gryffindor
- Slytherin
- hufflepuff
- Ravenclaw
While you will have the freedom to choose your favorite home, we advise you to choose them wisely. Because they can determine a lot about your journey into the game.
That’s all for how sorting will work in Hogwarts Legacy.
