Watch the trailer for the upcoming Apple TV+ series Ella’s Life, starring Lily Brooks O’Bryant.
It’s hard to imagine a company with an original video streaming service that relies so heavily on family content if it didn’t prove fruitful for the company. Apple TV+ retains awards and accolades for shows like Severance and Ted Lasso, but when it comes to new premieres, family-friendly shows seem to take the lion’s share. Take, for example, the latest trailer for a new show coming to Apple TV+ in the near future called Life by Ella.
The upcoming series stars Lily Brooks O’Brien (The Tick), as well as Artion Celestine (Harlem) and Vanessa Carrasco (You Are Indispensable). Directed by Emmy nominee Linda Mendoza of Ugly Betty fame, it was created by Jeff Hodsden and Tim Pollack, who previously created Bunk’d, a hit with kids.
Here’s the description that Apple TV+ included along with the official trailer released today:
Ella returns to school with a whole new perspective, excitement about what the future holds for her, and a mindset to seize the day. Together with her best friend, she is ready to deal with everything she was too afraid of before and is determined not to let the little things of fake friends and social media status distract her.
Life by Ella will premiere on Friday, September 2, 2022.
The ensemble also includes Kevin Ram (“Mad Men”), Kunal Dudhecker (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”), Mary Faber (“Just Kidding”) and Aidan Wallace (“You”).
The series looks like a fun life-affirming romp, if not more. Are you going to check it out when it premieres in September?
