Trigun: Supercharged Anime Reboot First Preview

Trigun Stampede reveals itself in a crazy trailer: 3D, very successful characters, crazy style.

A few months ago, we learned that the 1998 cult anime Trigun (based on the 1996 manga of the same name by Yasuhiro Nightou) would be getting a reboot thanks to Studio Orange, to which we owe Beastars in particular. Trigun Stampede, as it’s called, differs from the first second of the original anime with its 3D graphic style and brand new look for the hero, Vash the Stampede. Today, a new trailer shows us a little more and introduces one of the many characters Vash will meet.

With a massive bounty on his head, dubbed the Humanoid Typhoon, he arrives on the planet No Man’s Land and quickly finds himself on a galley in front of bounty hunters and residents. After being rescued by two reporters who are investigating his article, whose voices are those of Meryl Strife (Sakura Andow) and Robert de Niro (Kenji Matsuda) in the US version, they discover they are connected to Vash as well as the priest. / undertaker – Nicholas D. Wolfwood (Yoshimasa Hosoya) – as our hero tries to find his brother Million Knives – Junwa Ikeda -.

3D, very successful characters, crazy style

Whether or not you know the original manga and anime – which I can give you too much advice if you like explosive and crazy manga/anime – you have to admit that it all seems to be very successful. The art direction is wonderful – every frame could make a good wallpaper – the characters are very expressive and everything looks very beautiful. With the recent return of Bleach as well as Naruto’s birthday, this trailer comes at just the right time for those who would like to re-immerse themselves in the manga and anime they grew up with.

Trigun Stampede is coming to Crunchyroll in January 2023. With the NieR Automata adaptation, the second season of Tokyo Revengers, and the fourth season of Bungou Stray Dogs, the start of next year promises to be a busy one for fans of Japanese animation.
