God Of War Ragnarok: how to get to Muspelheim

God of War Ragnarok contains many gameplay elements and elements of the Nine Realms. Like the previous GoW (2018), Ragnarok also features the fiery realm of Muspelheim. When you get there, you will be able to complete several trials called the Crucible offered by Surtur. These are optional side quests that only unlock after you unlock Muspelheim. How to get to Muspelheim in God of War Ragnarok

You can get to Muspelheim and unlock the Crucible quests by finding both halves of Muspelheim’s Yggdrasil seed. Although both are in the kingdom of Svartalfheim, you need to complete various story quests to get them. This is due to a specific blocked area or region in the world. So here is where you can find them in GoW Ragnarok:

• You can get the first half of Muspelheim’s Yggdrasil seed at the Modwitnir Rig on the west coast of GoW Ragnarok.
• And the other half of the seed can be found in Alberich Hollow east of Dragon Beach. You can find this seed half at the top of the wooden platform.
• You can get the first half as you progress through the second quest, Quest of Tyr.
• On the other hand, you can get the other half of the Muspelheim Yggdrasil seed by completing the sixth Forging Destiny story quest.

Once you have both halves of the Muspelheim Yggdrasil seed, you will unlock the Muspelheim area and the Crucible quests. You can use any Mystic Gate to travel to Muspelheim in God of War Ragnarok.

When you get to Muspelheim, you’ll find a Nornir chest in the middle. But unlike other Chests, this one cannot be opened immediately.

Crucible Favor quests in Muspelheim

You need to complete various Crucible quests to unlock and open these chests. There are six Crucible quests that you can complete. And they are the following:

• Weapon Proficiency Test
• Flawless Test
• Call Trial
• Feed your trial version of the Rift
• Population control trial
• Trial of the King of the Hill

Upon completion of each of these challenges, you will receive several rewards for completing them. This includes XP rewards, Hacksilver and other resources like Divine Ashes. Once you’ve completed all the trials, you’ll be able to head to the large Nornir chest. When you open the chest, you can earn the Flame of Chaos. You can use these resources to upgrade Chaos Blade. In addition to this, you will also receive 10,000 XP and 2,500 XP for Atreus, Freya, or other companions.
