How to download macOS 13.4 Ventura Public Beta 2

It is recommended that you back up your device before downloading and installing the beta profile. This will keep your data safe if you decide to upgrade to macOS Monterey.

1. Go to beta.apple.com.
2. Click Sign Up to sign up, or Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
3. Select the macOS tab → scroll down to the “Register your Mac”section.
4. Click Download macOS Access Utility Public Beta 2.
5. Now click Allow to start the download.
6. Open the Downloads folder or the folder where you downloaded the files.
7. Double-click the macOSPublicBetaAccessUtility.dmg file.
8. Double-click macOSPublicBetaAccessUtility.pkg again to launch the installer and follow the onscreen instructions.
9. Now you can get a reminder to make a Time Machine backup; if already done, click OK → Continue.
10. Click “Continue”again.
11. Read and accept the Apple license agreement by clicking Agree.
12. Next, click Install.
13. Enter your Mac’s password → select Install Software.
14. When the download is complete and the “Installation Successful”screen appears, click Close.
15. The software update screen will now appear; click Update now.

The download will begin and may take some time depending on your internet speed. Once completed, install the update.

Note. If the update screen does not open automatically, click the Apple logo → System Preferences → Software Update.

How to Install macOS Ventura 13.4 Public Beta 2 on Mac

1. The installation window should appear automatically; click Continue.
2. Click “Agree”to accept the terms.
3. Then click “Agree”again to confirm.
4. Select the disk/partition to install the beta and click Continue.
5. Enter your Mac’s password and click Unlock.
6. Click Restart if your Mac doesn’t restart automatically.

After restarting your Mac, the system may prompt you to enter your Apple ID and password.

Should I download macOS Ventura 13.4 Public Beta 2?

Beta versions are potentially problematic. Apple states that it may contain errors and inaccuracies and may not run as smoothly as commercially released software. What’s more, it prompts users to download the beta on additional devices or non-critical partitions.
