Microsoft to supply cloud games to UK carrier EE

PC games from Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will be available to EE customers via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

If UK carrier EE has been allowing its customers to get an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription by paying for an add-on on their contract for nearly three years, they will soon be able to get their hands on Xbox Cloud Gaming to be able to play a variety of streaming PC games from Microsoft and Activision Blizzard from their smartphones.

EE, Microsoft’s new card to appease antitrust authorities

This “new”decade-long partnership is in line with those Microsoft has already entered into with Ubitus, Boosteroid, Nvidia and Nintendo. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said last month that it believes the planned merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will not hurt the console market, but its preliminary thoughts on the cloud gaming market have yet to be reformed.
