Save Apple Music album art with one touch with MusicArtworkSave.

Have you ever listened to a track in the Apple Music app and wanted to save the album art as an image in your library?

While you could just take a screenshot and crop it, it probably wouldn’t result in a better image or quality. Enter a new free jailbreak tweak called MusicArtworkSave from iOS developer ETHN, an add-on that lets you not only eat your cake, but eat it too.

As you can see in the screenshots above, MusicArtworkSave adds a new save image button in the top right corner of the Apple Music app that, when clicked, saves the image to your photo library. When saving is complete, a small confirmation symbol appears instead of the save image button.

It’s important to note that the tweak is only for the stock Music app, so you won’t be able to use this tweak to save album art in other music apps. Try to keep this in mind if you use Spotify or anything other than Apple Music to listen to.

As you can probably understand from the middle example, the image is saved directly to your photo library as a JPEG image. This allows you to save, share or do whatever you want with the album art once you have the physical file in your possession.

MusicArtworkSave is available in two forms – regular and non-rooted. As you might expect, the regular version is for most regular jailbreaks, while the non-root version is for non-root jailbreaks. None of them have options to configure; just install, use and enjoy.

Both tweaks are available in the personal ETHN repository and support jailbroken iOS 13, 14, 15 and 16 devices. The tweak is also available as an open source tweak on the developer’s GitHub page. If you are not yet using a personal ETHN repository, you can add it to your package manager application of your choice using the URL below:
