Uber is expanding its airport and airport offering. How to attract even more users?

Ordering a car at the airport often turns into a nightmare – ask anyone who has ever walked through the labyrinth of the terminal to get to the drop off point. An adventure that can be daunting in many ways. But soon everything should change. Uber is rolling out several updates to make it easier to get to and from airports. Perhaps the most notable of these is that you will be entitled to directions that will accurately lead you to your driver, as well as an estimated waiting time to collect your luggage. This will tell you if you are in a hurry to order a car or if you have a lot of time.

Uber Reserve will also be more useful for planning your trips on the ground. The company now allows you to book up to 90 days in advance, up from 30 so far, which should make it easier to plan all stages of your trip. Reservations will also be available in more North American cities, over 7,300, and New York City customers can reserve UberX, XL, or Comfort in addition to the black and black SUV. At the same time, the Business Comfort offer will provide a “unique”experience for business travelers.

How to attract even more users?

Directions to recovery zones are currently only available at just over 30 airports worldwide, including three New York airports – JFK, LaGuardia and Newark, as well as Chicago, O’Hare and Atlanta. Paris (CDG, ORY) is on the list. Others will arrive in the coming months. In the meantime, walking time estimates from the airport will be available “soon”at more than 400 airports. The Business Comfort option will be offered later.

The purpose of these updates is clear: rides to, from, or airports play a big role in Uber’s business, and it’s taking on Lyft, taxis, and even car rental companies. This could clearly incentivize Uber usage.
