Wargroove 2 Coming Soon to Nintendo Switch and PC
After a long hiatus, Advance Wars-style strategy games are making a name for themselves again, so to speak. On April 21, Nintendo will release Advance Wars 1+2 Re-boot Camp, a remake of the two Game Boy Advance games that started the series. And soon, fans of this kind of strategy game will also be able to enjoy a new title licensed by Wargroove: publisher Chucklefish has announced a sequel to this 2019 title directly inspired by Advance Wars.
You decide, pirates and giant squids
Wargroove 2 doesn’t have a release date yet, but when the game is ready it will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. This time around, development is being handled by Robotality, the studio best known for their work on the 2019 game Pathway. According to the Wargroove 2 Steam page, this sequel will offer players new factions and units, as well as three single-player campaigns. Chucklefish also promises a roguelike mode. In addition, the game will feature an improved level editor that will allow players to create their own maps, cutscenes and campaigns.
Please note, if you haven’t played the original game, be aware that Wargroove is currently on Steam at a very discounted price of 70%, or just over 5€ per game. The biggest discount Chucklefish has ever offered on this game.
