Rootless jailbreak support for iOS 15 and 16 has been added to the CarBridge modification that opens CarPlay-restricted apps in vehicles
If you own a jailbroken iPhone and a car with CarPlay capability, you’d be doing yourself a grave disservice if you didn’t already have the CarBridge jailbreak tweak created by iOS developer leftyfl1p.
In a recent update, CarBridge added support for iOS 15 and 16 in addition to rootless jailbreak, enabling users to open virtually any app from their iPhone and interact with it directly on the head unit of their car using CarPlay.
CarBridge supports a wide range of apps, although there are a few notable exceptions, such as when an app enables DRM-enabled video playback or streaming, which is a unique case for obvious reasons.
The app will be presented in the automobile in its original iPhone layout, as indicated in the tweak depiction. With this add-on, you can effectively manage the apps on your iPhone without ever touching it.
CarBridge enables you to use the Portal app on head units with joysticks or touchscreen support for CarPlay to control your apps.
It’s important to note that some apps are by default disabled on head units with CarPlay support for security concerns. You shouldn’t try to use other apps through CarBridge while operating a vehicle as it may be dangerous. While a car is moving, only a passenger should interact with non-CarPlay apps. It’s been warned that you.
Users who want to test out CarBridge on their jailbroken device can purchase the tweak from the Havoc repository for $9.99 using their preferred package manager tool. The tweak works with iOS 13, 14, 15, and 16 jailbroken devices.
