Rumor has it that iPadOS 17 will provide the iPad access to iPhone’s lock screen choices.
When sharing your Lock Screen design presets, it will be crucial to have the same Lock Screen modification choices on the iPhone and iPad.
- According to reports, Apple is bringing iOS 16 and the next iOS 17 updates’ Lock Screen choices and design patterns to the iPad.
- Some iPad owners claim that the iOS 16 upgrade removed the ability to customize the Lock Screen from the iPhone.
- It appears that iPadOS 17 has lock screen widgets, wallpapers, picture filters, clock customisation, focus mode linking, and a wallpaper gallery.
An iPhone-like Lock Screen could be introduced with iPadOS 17.
More information on rumored new features launching with iPadOS 17 has been given by an unnamed insider operating the @analyst941 Twitter account.
In addition to the new Lock Screen features coming with iOS 17, one upgrade in iPadOS 17 promises to deliver the same Lock Screen makeover and customization choices that Apple added to the iPhone with iOS 16 last year.
With iPadOS 17, these new Lock Screen features may become available for the iPad:
- Apple’s unique wallpapers, including the depth effect, weather and emoji image filters,
- Presets for the lock screen are shared
- Personalization of the clock’s design
- connecting in focus mode
- Widgets for Wallpaper Galleries
This rumor’s source hasn’t proven themselves before, but they did correctly forecast the Dynamic Island feature before the iPhone 14 was revealed last year. Thus, don’t take this information too seriously.

A different leaker recently claimed that the Lock Screen on iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will offer different font size settings and potentially show song lyrics for Apple Music tracks.
Support for earlier iPads with A9/A9X CPUs, such as the fifth-generation iPad and the original iPad Pro devices, may be dropped in iPadOS 17.
During the June 5 WWDC 2023 keynote, the Cupertino tech titan is expected to unveil iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10, macOS 14, and xrOS, a new platform for the mysterious headgear.
