Oppo A55s Launched With Snapdragon 480 90Hz Display: Price, Specs
Renders of the Oppo A55s ahead of its launch were leaked a week ago and it has been spotted on Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG, and the FCC database . The leaked renders showed a dual camera setup on the back of the phone, and a listing on Geekbench showed model number CPH2309 along with some details like 4GB of RAM, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 5G SoC, and Android 11. The phone has been officially released. launched in Japan and expected to expand to other South Asian markets soon. This is a 5G phone and the latest offering from Oppo in Japan in a while. However, the phone will go on sale next week.
Oppo A55s specifications
The Oppo A55s has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The phone was launched in Japan.
In terms of camera, the Oppo A55s features a dual camera on the back where there is a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture paired with a 2MP depth sensor and LED flash. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies. The camera app offers various modes such as Ultra Night Mode, Portrait Mode, and AI Scene Enhancement.
For the first time, Oppo has provided some dust and water resistance on an A-series phone, as the Oppo A55s appears to have an IP rating, but we don’t know the exact rating criteria yet. Some sources say it is IPX8/IP6X. The phone runs Android 11 out of the box with Oppo’s own ColorOS 11 skin. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 18W. In terms of connectivity, the Oppo A55s offers Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G with VoLTE and, of course, 5G. The phone also has a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Oppo A55s price
Oppo A55s costs 33,800 yen. The phone will go on sale in Japan from November 26, but pre-registration for sale will begin today. The phone is available in two color options – green and black. The phone may appear in other South Asian markets, but Oppo has not yet made any announcement regarding the launch of the device outside of Japan. However, we expect the phone to arrive in India at an aggressive price point.
