OPPO Reno7, Reno7 Pro 5G: full specifications revealed online ahead of official launch

Latest flagship phones Oppo Reno7 and Reno7 Pro. The devices will launch in China on November 25th and we already know some of the unique features these phones will have, such as the new Sony IMX709 Cat-Eye lens and a unique notification light around the camera bump on the back. However, just two days before the official launch of the Reno7 and Reno7 Pro in China, popular whistleblower Evan Blass has once again revealed quite a few details about the two devices. Some time ago, he tweeted a screenshot of some kind of spreadsheet containing device specifications.

Oppo Reno7 specifications

The Oppo Reno7 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. It looks like the phone comes in three variants – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB. The phone is equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 409 PPI. The display brightness of the phone can reach 600 nits. The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling. The screen-to-body ratio of the phone is 91.70%.

In terms of camera, the Reno7 comes with a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. Main camera and wide-angle camera from Omnivision. However, there is a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.

The phone offers Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi, as well as 5G connectivity. It runs Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 12 on top. The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 65W. The phone weighs 185 grams. The specifications provided by Evan Blass match the information that was leaked earlier.

Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G specifications

Oppo Reno7 Pro is getting a different type of SoC. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A phone with the same chipset and 8GB of RAM was previously spotted on Geekbench.

The phone will be available in two variants – 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB. The phone sports a slightly larger 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a pixel density of 402 PPI. The display of the phone has become brighter, with a maximum brightness of 920 nits. The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and a 92.80% screen-to-body ratio.

The Reno 7 Pro will ship with the Dimensity 1200, and the Reno7 SE is also expected to launch.

It looks like the Reno7 Pro mainly uses Sony camera sensors. Like the Reno7, this phone also features a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX 766 main camera paired with an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front is a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor for selfies and video calls, just like the Reno 7.

In terms of software, connectivity, battery capacity and charging speed, the phone is the same as the Reno7, only the Reno7 Pro seems to use camera sensors mostly from Sony. At the same time, Reno7 borrowed most of its sensors from OmniVision. However, the phone is slightly lighter – 180 grams.

Both phones will go on sale on November 25th in China, and the Reno7 SE could also arrive alongside the two devices. However, the specifications of the device were leaked earlier.
