Oppo Find X5 series officially confirmed to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and MariSilicon X NPU
Oppo has confirmed the release of its new flagship smartphones. The company will launch the Oppo Find X5 series worldwide on February 24th. The global event is expected to feature at least two premium smartphones namely the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. Oppo has confirmed the design and revealed some key details of the devices ahead of launch.
Today’s new teaser has confirmed the performance details of Oppo’s upcoming flagship. The Oppo Find X5 series is officially confirmed to be equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile processor. Oppo Find X5 Series Performance Block
The launch of Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro for the global market is confirmed. Oppo has also confirmed information about the device’s processor. As expected, the Find X5 series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. They will also ship with Oppo’s MariSilicon X NPU, which was unveiled at Oppo Inno Day 2021 in December.
A recent leak revealed that the Find X5 Pro with Dimensity 9000 SoC is also in development. The company may leave this option exclusive to the Chinese market. The leak also revealed other details about Oppo’s upcoming flagships.
Specifications and features
The global variant of the Find X5 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display. A 10-bit display will have a resolution of 2K. Oppo will also use LTPO 2.0 technology to support variable refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. The curved screen will also be HDR10+ certified.
There is a triple camera on the back of the device. It will have a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor for wide shots, a 50MP sensor for ultra-wide shots, and a 13MP telephoto lens. For selfies, the phone will have a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 front camera. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless charging.
Oppo Find X5 will ship with Oppo’s Snapdragon 888 SoC and MariSilicon X NPU. It will feature the same 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor as the Pro model. The phone will feature a 6.55-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with features like Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, etc. Unlike the Pro model, the vanilla Find X5 will have a flat display.
The device will also pack a smaller 4,800mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 30W wireless charging support.
