Apple Fitness+ Coming to iPhone This Fall in 21 Countries (Including France)

Apple Fitness+ is coming to iPhone this fall. Ideal for learning more and more easily. New content is also planned.

Starting this fall, you will no longer need an Apple Watch to use Apple Fitness+. The service will be available on iPhone in 21 countries where the Cupertino-based company already offers the service. Including in France therefore. Apple already announced during WWDC that an Apple Watch-independent Fitness app for iPhone is in preparation. So this information is not really news, but it’s good that it materialized.

Apple Fitness+ Coming to iPhone This Fall

When the Apple brand launched Fitness+ in 2020, the experience was entirely centered around smartwatches, which can be kind of a no-brainer for exercises that you can just follow on Apple TV. However, iPhone-only users will soon be able to take full advantage of the Fitness+ service, including 3,000 coach-led exercises and meditation sessions. Your iPhone will estimate the calories burned, which will be counted towards your goal on the Move ring (however, Apple Watch will provide more accurate data). While you need an iPhone to subscribe to Fitness+, you can use the app on iPad and Apple TV.

Ideal for easier learning

In addition, Apple will release new episodes of Time to Walk this fall. Time to Walk is a soundtrack conceived and designed to inspire people to get out and walk more often. The fourth season will feature the stories of Regina Hall, Nicky Jam, Constance Wu, Meghan Trainor and more. In the meantime, Time to Run will offer Fitness+ subscribers jogs at locations such as Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park, Mexico City, Anchorage, Monterey, and Seattle. Time to Walk and Time to Run will also be available in the Fitness app on iPhone.

New content is also planned

Starting September 12, Fitness+ users will also have access to more Artist Spotlight sessions featuring music by Mary J. Blige, The Rolling Stones and The Weeknd. There was also a brand new collection of Pilates exercises to strengthen the whole body, including sessions with a new yoga teacher. On Apple Watch, when you select a Fitness+ exercise, you’ll see prompts and recommendations on the screen.
