Legizmo Kincaid Launches For Select Patreon Supporters, No Jailbreak Required
A little over a week ago, we told you about a development called Legizmo Kincaid that will allow even those without a jailbreak to pair their Apple Watch with newer versions of watchOS with iPhones with older versions of iOS.
Legizmo exists in many different forms, most notably as jailbreak tweaks that allow jailbreak hackers to pair new Apple Watches with their outdated jailbreak firmware. Project Kincaid is the first development of its kind to use TrollStore’s permanent signature capabilities to enable newer versions of watchOS, including watchOS 9, to be paired with iOS 15.0-15.1.1 installations without hacking.
On Friday, Legizmo lead developer lunotech11 took to the official Discord channel to announce that the Legizmo Kincaid test run has been launched for alpha and beta Patreon members. This means that some of those who supported the developer during the wait were able to try it out for the first time.
Legizmo Kincaid is currently in beta testing to ensure that deficiencies are ironed out before it is released to the general public. In fact, this is probably a good thing, as the developer noted in a subsequent Discord announcement that a bug was found related to notifications on the 2022 Apple Watch.
Legizmo Kincaid is obviously in high demand, especially as many keep waiting on iOS 15.0-15.1.1 for the upcoming Odyssey jailbreak release. This means that otherwise these users will not be able to buy and use the new Apple Watch. Given the desired nature of Legizmo Kincaid, the developer had no choice but to warn other users about the Patreon-only beta leak.
Once all bugs are fixed, the Legizmo development team plans to release Legizmo Kincaid to the remaining Patreon levels that do not yet have access to it. Patreon is currently the only way to access Legizmo Kincaid. The Alpha Access Tier is $7.50 per month and the Beta Access Tier is $4.50 per month.
Potential users can stay up to date with the project by joining the Legizmo Discord channel. Of course, iDB will also provide regular updates.
