Realme 9 Pro and Pro Plus to be 5G Smartphones Officially Confirmed
Realme is gearing up to launch the Realme 9 Pro series. The company has confirmed the launch of two new devices, the 9 Pro and Pro Plus. There is currently no information on the official launch date of the devices. While we wait, Realme has shared some key details of upcoming numbered series smartphones.
According to the latest teaser posted by Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, both Realme 9 Pro models will come with 5G network support. The company did not confirm other details. However, a lot has been leaked about these two phones in the past. Let’s take a look at the specs, features and other details of the Realme 9 Pro models.
Realme 9 Pro Series Specifications
Realme has confirmed that the 9 Pro and Pro Plus will support 5G network. Both devices will launch in February 2022. According to the leaked information, the vanilla 9 Pro will have a Snapdragon 695 5G processor under the hood. On the other hand, the Pro Plus model will have a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC.
In terms of display, the 9 Pro will have a larger 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The Pro Plus model will feature a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. If the leaked specs are correct, it would be rather odd to see the Pro Plus model have a lower refresh rate screen, while the standard Pro model has a 120Hz screen.
On the back of the 9 Pro, there will be a 64MP triple main camera with an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro module. For selfies, the device will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera housed inside a hole-punch cutout in the top-left corner. It will have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
On the other hand, the Realme 9 Pro Plus camera module will have a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. It will also have a 16-megapixel front camera sensor. The device will pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
Both devices will run Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box.
