Meta is working on making it possible for you to share voice notes in WhatsApp status

WhatsApp is working on status updates with voice notes
Whatsapp status is similar to Instagram stories. Available under the Status tab, it allows you to share text, photos, videos, and GIFs that automatically disappear after 24 hours.
And soon you will be able to attach voice notes to your WhatsApp status updates. According to WABetaInfo, the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS has the ability to add voice notes to your status updates.
The screenshot shared by the site shows that it will be easy to use this feature. When creating your WhatsApp status, you will click on the blue microphone icon on the right side of the text input field. This will allow you to record a short voice message that will be included in your status update.
This feature has been testing on Android for a while now and is now also available in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. WABetaInfo says you will be allowed to post a voice note up to 30 seconds long before the status is updated.
