Nüz, Transactions, Typly and more apps to try this weekend
Welcome to another edition of our Apps of the Week review where we share some new and exciting apps we’ve come across recently. We’ve got some great options for you this week, including a video news platform, a simple personal finance app, and an artificial intelligence keyboard companion. And, as always, we’ve chosen a fun new game to check out.
Nuz
If you’re looking for a new place to get balanced global news, Nüz might be worth a look. In addition to the umlaut (I don’t know why these dots bother me), the developers promise to bring you super-fast, super-informative and super-balanced news. No cookies, no trackers, no ads and they will never sell your data. “Created by a small team trying to make the news better.”
Transactions: financial kit
Transactions is a simple personal finance app that lets you view payments across all your cards. It sends you alerts to your unified inbox every time you are charged, and from there you can tag, save, and add notes to your transactions for context or later review. There are all sorts of useful features here, including a spending history map and support for Venmo and CSV exports. Eh, I think it’s pretty cool.
Typly
I’m going to be honest, this last one is a little strange to me. Typly bills itself as a “state of the art AI keyboard”that lets you reply to messages with just a tap. It does this by having you copy the sentence or phrase you want to reply to and then reads your clipboard to suggest answers. So my guess(?) is that he doesn’t read your real text messages. It also has a “Date”mode where it promises to help you “grow up in the eyes of women”, which I’m sure is perfectly normal too. Anyway, I thought it would be a fun and quirky app to play with this weekend. This is Ai!
Creatures of the Deep
Here is a unique game. It’s called Creatures of the Deep and sees you and anglers from all over the world travel to the most exotic finish spots in search of never-before-seen fish, sea creatures, underwater treasures, and even MONSTERS. Features include over 100 sea creatures to catch, crazy anglers, local mysteries to solve, a soothing wave soundtrack and original music, and player challenges. Even if you are not a big fisherman, this game has enough puzzles and other things to keep you entertained.
