How to Unlock Surf in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To get the Surf ability in this game, you need to defeat the Open Sky Titan. This creature is one of the 5 Titans in the game, located high above the surface in the sky. You can find this creature somewhere between Cortondo and Cascarrafa in Western Province (Zone 1). To be precise, the area is closer to the central WPA1 Poké Center. Finding an open sky titan does half the job, getting the surf in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

When approaching the Bombbirdier, the Titan of the Open Sky, you will receive a notification as soon as you reach your desired destination. Also, be sure to avoid the boulders as you climb the mountain. You can easily defeat this creature, which will then give you the Surf ability for your Pokemon Scarlet & Violet mount.
