The latest TrollStore update adds support for installing the Linus Henze Fugu15 jailbreak for iOS 15.

Following the release of Linus Henze’s developer-focused Fugu15 jailbreak for arm64e devices running iOS 15.0-15.4.1, iOS developer opa334 released two follow-up updates to TrollStore to fix an issue with installing the Fugu15 jailbreak via the popular permanent signature utility. The first update was tagged version 1.3.3 and the second update was tagged version 1.3.4.

Opa334 announced the above TrollStore updates one by one via Twitter on Monday night, and according to the changelog, these are the changes in the latest TrollStore releases:

  • Fixed an issue that caused Fugu15 to not work when installed via TrollStore.
  • Make app details a little more precise

As far as we can tell, version 1.3.3 was originally released with the above changes, however opa334 quickly figured out the bug during the update process for version 1.3.3 and released version 1.3.4 shortly thereafter to fix it.

Now that TrollStore officially supports the Fugu15 jailbreak app, this means users can use TrollStore to download and permanently sign the Fugu15 jailbreak app on their compatible devices. Previously, users needed to set up a web installer with their own domain or connect their device to their Mac in order to install Fugu15 with Xcode.

While installing Fugu15 using TrollStore is now much easier, we still don’t recommend it for the average potential jailbreaker. This is because Fugu15 is mainly intended for developers who want to tinker, it has not been tested on a wide variety of device and firmware combinations, and does not support customization injection. Opa334 echoed this wise advice in a subsequent tweet.

The latest version of TrollStore is recommended for all existing users and can be easily updated using the OTA (over the air) update mechanism in the TrollHelper app. If you’re not already using TrollStore, you can install it on your iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 betas).
