Relicta: how to get the game for free on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games consistently offers one free game each week, and next week it will be Relicta. According to reports, Relicta will replace the free-to-play Galactic Civilizations 3 currently available on the Epic Games Store. The latter will be free to play from today, January 14th, until January 20th. From January 21 to January 27, the next free game in the Store will be Relicta, created by independent game developer studio Mighty Polygon.

Relicta is a sci-fi game set in the 22nd century and you have to use the principles of physics to navigate the game, and of course there is a powerful terrible enemy that wants to pull you from the depths of the world. “the eternally dark craters of the moon.”There’s also a mention of 22nd century “orbital politics”that you’ll have to deal with – something that doesn’t seem too far-fetched given that we’re already approaching something close to orbital politics here on Earth.

The description for Relicta, the next free-to-play game from Epic Games, states: “Play as a master physicist stranded on a spooky abandoned moon base. Find your way around mysterious terraformed craters by bending gravity and magnetism to your will to solve physics puzzles. Will you race ahead and try to get to safety, or will you take your time to collect clues and unravel the intrigues of 22nd century orbital politics? Hidden in the eternal darkness of the lunar craters is a secret that could take your daughter’s life or change the fate of mankind forever. Are you ready to face the ultimate consequences of your research?”

How to get Relicta for free on the Epic Games Store

To get the game for free, follow these steps:

• From January 21 to January 27, log into the Epic Games Store.
• If you don’t have an account yet, go to the Epic Games website and create your account in the top right hand side of the site.
• Once created, download the Epic desktop client and log in with your existing or newly created game account.
• In the desktop client, search for “Relicta”in the store.
• Between the above dates, the game will be available for free, which you can get by clicking on the “buy”button.
• You will be shown a zero amount to pay, after which you can checkout and confirm the purchase.
• The game will now be added to your collection and will stay with you forever.
• You can then download it from the Library section of the desktop client, wait for the download to finish, and start playing on your PC.
