How to get to Goron City without burning out in Zelda BOTW

Getting to Goron City in Zelda BOTW without being incinerated is a challenge in itself. It’s too hot here for you to manage without the right equipment. And heat resistance alone is not enough. You will need some form of fire resistance to not only get there, but to survive in the area. So, here’s the best way to get to Goron City without burning out in Zelda BOTW.

How to get to Goron City without burning out in BOTW

You can get to Goron City by taking a Fireproof Elixir. An NPC named Gale sells you 3 of these elixirs. Here is where you can find it:

  1. Go to the Foothills stable. The best place to start is by fast traveling to Eldin’s Tower and flying southeast towards it. Once you get down, follow the main road to get there.
  2. Look for Gale near the Foothills stable. She must comb the area.
  3. Talk to her and she will sell you a fireproof elixir. She will sell a maximum of 3 of them and her offer will change as you buy more.
    • 1 fireproof elixir: 60 rupees
    • 2 fireproof elixirs: 110 rupees
    • 3 fire retardant elixirs: 150 rupees
  4. Buy them according to your needs. 2 are good if you want to play it safe and buy 3 if you plan to explore the area a bit.
  5. Return to the Eldin Tower.
  6. Drink the fire retardant elixir and fly northwest to the main road and follow it to Goron City.

Make sure you remove any wooden objects or things like Korok leaves. This is because they can catch fire from the environment and start burning. Also, keep track of how much time is left before the expiration of the elixir. Drink another one if it’s almost used up.

On the way to the city you will pass the southern mines. You can get the Flash Hider Armor here after completing the side quest for Kima. So you can use it to get to the city without burning out, but this task can take a little time. For this you need to give him 10 refractory lizards.

Don’t worry, even if you decide to skip his quest, you can buy the entire Flame Hinder armor set once you get to town.

That covers this guide on how to get to Goron City in Zelda BOTW without burning it.
