How to check warranty status on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods

How to Check Warranty Status on the Apple Check Coverage Website

To check the status of your product on the Check Coverage website, you need to have a serial number.

If you don’t have your Mac’s serial number, see our article on how to check MacBook versions and specifications. Meanwhile, on iPhone and iPad, you can launch “Settings”→ “General”→ “About”→ hold “Serial Number”and press “Copy”.

Once you have your serial number, do the following:

  1. Go to the coverage check page.
  2. Enter your serial number in the field below the “Enter serial number”field.
  3. Enter the code displayed in the field correctly.
  4. Click Submit. Now you can see the status of your service and support.

Use the Apple Support App to Check Your Warranty

This method is only valid for iPhone and iPad.

  1. Download the Apple Support App.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID if it wasn’t automatically signed in.
  3. Select My Devices → select your device.
  4. Click “Device Information”.
  5. You may see “Limited Warranty”or “Expired”under Coverage Information.

Use the My Support page to check your Apple product warranty.

  3. Click “View All My Devices”in the “My Devices”section.
  4. Select your device.

How to Check Warranty Status on Apple Devices

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

  1. Launch the Settings app.
  2. Go to General → About.
  3. Select Limited Warranty or Expired.

Make sure your AirPods are connected to your iPhone before proceeding and follow the steps below to check their warranty.

  1. Launch the Settings app on your paired iPhone.
  2. Tap the name of your AirPods.
  3. Scroll down and select “Limited Warranty”or “Cover Expired”.

Calculate the remaining warranty period using the date of purchase or delivery

In addition to the methods above, another easy way to check your Apple product’s warranty details is to look at the date of purchase on the invoice. Every Apple product has a one-year limited warranty.

Therefore, the warranty status of Apple equipment such as Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard or Magic Keyboard lasts 12 months. For example, if you bought a product on January 1, 2023, it will be covered until January 1, 2024.
