Apple’s next monitor could be a lot cheaper than the Pro Display XDR

Apple could release a new monitor that is much more affordable than its Pro Display XDR.

Apple offers a range of devices and accessories. At very different prices, for a variety of needs. Those who need to work with multiple displays may be interested in purchasing the optional Pro Display XDR. A beast, literally and figuratively, that is expensive. The Cupertino company could have made a much cheaper monitor.

Apple may release a new monitor

When Apple first announced its Pro Display XDR monitor, if you had a slight heart attack after seeing the price – and we’re not even talking about the price of the stand itself – we couldn’t help but blame ourselves. That being said, those who are looking for a monitor to complete their Mac setup but don’t want to sell a kidney to do so know there can be good news.

A much more affordable model than its Pro Display XDR.

If Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman is to be believed, and in particular the latest issue of his Power On newsletter, Apple’s next monitor could be very interesting. According to our man, the Cupertino-based company is working on a new monitor that can be sold for half the price of a Pro Display XDR. The current price of the Pro Display XDR is €5,499 for the standard glass model and €6,499 for the nanotexture glass model.

If this half-price announcement is correct, we could see this new monitor selling for between €2,750 and €3,250. However, such an option will still be far superior to many other monitors on the market, even some of which offer 4K. Of course, this is still more than a substantial amount, but the bill will be significantly less than that of the Pro Display XDR.

It’s hard to know what to expect in terms of functionality that would justify such a price positioning. To learn more, we will have to exercise patience again and again.
