How to Complete the Destiny 2 Rush Mission (Vex Puzzles Solution)
With the arrival of Destiny 2 Lightfall, several Guardians are looking to complete their campaign and clear its mysterious obstacles. One of these obstacles includes the Headlong mission, which mainly revolves around solving three puzzles. This also follows the completion of training with Osiris after you solve the puzzles. But as players continue this campaign mission, they get stuck on the puzzles. Don’t worry, check out our guide on how to complete the Queue mission in Destiny 2 Lightfall.
How to complete Destiny 2 Lightfall’s fast-paced mission (Vex puzzles)
You can start with the Forward Forward mission at Strider Gate, Neum in Liming Harbor next to the Lost Sector. When we start, you must find the source of the strands and then follow the source of the strands. But when you get to the first locked Vex gate, you will encounter Cation and Anion Harpies. The glowing ones are cationic harpies, and the dim ones are anionic harpies.
To open the first Vex Gate and the following gates, you need to destroy the glowing and dim harpies. Because these puzzles will be random, you must defeat the Harpies in a specific order to open the gate. Please note that killing the harpies in the wrong order will reset the challenge.
So, here is how you can solve all the Headlong Vex puzzles and complete the Strand training with Osiris in Destiny 2 Lightfall:
Headlong Locked Vex Puzzle 1
As mentioned earlier, you need to defeat the harpies in a certain order in order to open the Vex door. The trick here is to look at the order of the crystals or diamonds above the Vex gate. You must eliminate them in the appropriate order to open the gate. For example, if it’s three glowing crystals, you need to eliminate all the cationic harpies. But if the order consists of one glowing and two dull diamonds respectively, you need to specifically destroy one cationic and two anionic harpies in the respective order.

Headlong Locked Vex Puzzle 2
For the second Vex puzzle, you need to keep following the Strand power source inside the Radiosonde building. You will encounter some Goblins, Minators, Quantum Miners, and Vicious Minators in front of the locked Vex gates. You can defeat them all to meet Cation and Anion Harpies. As in the first Vex puzzle, look at the order of the crystals above the barrier to destroy the harpies. You will open the second Headlong Vex gate once you have eliminated the three harpies.
Headlong Locked Vex Puzzle 3
Finally, you will face the final puzzle as you make your way further inside the Radiosonde building and get closer to the Osiris curriculum. As in the previous two puzzles, look at the order above the barrier to eliminate the Harpies in that order. But unlike the first two puzzles, you will also encounter regular harpies. While these harpies are firing laser beams, we suggest dodging them and focusing on the other two harpies. You can unlock this Vex Barrier after killing six Harpies in the correct order.
Completion of the Osiris training program
Once you solve and unlock the last Vex puzzle, go through the barrier to enter the Strand training program. You need to get through the rotating Vex laser grids and destroy different waves of Vex. We recommend using a ranged weapon to complete this last step. Eventually you will reach a circular arena where you will fight against a lot of enemies. Once you defeat them, follow the waypoint and go through the glowing round orb. As you progress, follow the waypoint and contact the Nimbus to complete the Queue mission.
