Microsoft Xbox Game Pass: Family Offer is available in six additional countries.
The Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family offer is available in six additional countries. When in France?
Microsoft has decided to expand the Xbox Game Pass Family Offer to six more countries. Residents of Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa and Sweden can now sign up for an offer that allows up to five friends or family members in the same country to access Game Pass Ultimate features with a single subscription. This is the first expansion to the availability of the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family offering since it launched in Colombia and Ireland last summer.
Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Offer Available in Six More Countries
There are a few things to keep in mind if you’re in one of these countries and are interested in this offer to take advantage of a catalog of hundreds of PC, console and cloud games, plus many other benefits. First, the Master Account holder will be able to convert their current subscription according to the cash value of the remaining term of the current subscription. For example, a full month of Ultimate membership is equivalent to 18 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family membership. However, people who are invited to join a family group cannot use the remaining time of their Game Pass subscription. Those with an Xbox All Access membership cannot join a family group.
When in France?
Prices vary by country. In the end, the general rule is pretty simple. Based on conversion rates, a regular Game Pass Ultimate subscription costs three-fifths of a Family subscription. For example, with Game Pass Ultimate US pricing, the family plan costs the equivalent of $25 per month. Spread across five people, that budget is just $5 per person for access to Game Pass Ultimate, or about the same as a one-time full-price game purchase per year.
Unfortunately, at the moment no one knows when this Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family offer will arrive in France or even another country close to Europe. That being said, it’s clear that Microsoft wants to allow as many users as possible to subscribe to its Game Pass in one way or another. Therefore, it is to be expected that this proposal will reach other countries very quickly.
