Explanation of all weapons in Wild Hearts

Wild Hearts is a Monster Hunter type game where you hunt ancient beasts in medieval Japan. Use various traps and weapons to hunt down and kill these mythical creatures. With 8 unique weapons to choose from, Wild Hearts aims to give its players multiple paths to becoming the best hunter in all of Japan. Let’s take a look at all the weapons you can find in Wild Hearts.

All weapons in Wild Hearts

Karakuri katana

As the first weapon in the game that you traditionally ditch in favor of a newer and shinier one, the Karakuri Katana manages to make itself felt. The katana is used to deal damage to monsters quickly and consistently, and comes with a second green whip mode that increases your attack range. The best way to use this weapon is to master its various combinations such as Dual Blade Storm Strike and Iai Explosive Strike.

Bow Nodachi

This type of ranged weapon can be used in two positions – horizontal and vertical. The horizontal stance allows you to fire small arrows in quick succession, each dealing a small amount of damage. These arrows hit the monster like a time bomb and will explode if fired from a vertical stand. Load your bow in an upright position for maximum damage. The best way to use this weapon is to alternate between the two positions, where you use horizontal to break the monster’s armor and charge an arrow in vertical stance to poke small arrows out of the beast’s skin.

Bladed wagasa (umbrella)

Yes, in this game you can fight monsters with an umbrella. Vagasa allows you to parry attacks, dealing a constant barrage of damage. The gauge fills up as you parry more consistently, resulting in more damage. The umbrella catches the wind and allows you to float in mid-fight, providing great combos and mid-air skills. A weapon with a high skill ceiling, the Bladed Wagasa is a fun and dangerous weapon in the right hands.

hand cannon

Best used at long to medium range, the cannon allows you to blast the beast with high damage shots at a slow but steady pace. The Cannon is powered by an overheating mechanic where you fire small shots to heat up the Cannon to fire a powerful mortar round that does a lot of damage. A weapon that requires planning and precision, the Konnon is a great choice for players who want to fire cannons.

Staff of Karakuri

This humble staff can transform into three different types of weapons: a dueling blade, a massive four-star shuriken, and a giant two-handed sword. They each have a light and heavy attack that you can swap mid-fight. Building a combo with two basic transformations and finishing with a giant two-handed sword is a great way to use this unique weapon.

Nodachi

Every great hunter needs a Berserker-style two-handed sword to prove their resolve on the battlefield, and Nodachi delivers on that promise. With a standard light and charge dependent heavy attack, Nodachi can deal an insane amount of damage if used with patience.

they say

Smash anything that stands in your way with this massive hammer. The Sledgehammer might be slower than every other weapon in your arsenal, but it makes up for it by dealing massive amounts of damage. Getting familiar with Maul’s rhythm and timing is the key to pulling off insane combos. An excellent choice for heavy hitters.

Claw Blade

A weapon made especially for Attack on Titan fans, a small sword on a long chain with a claw at the end is all you need to unleash hell on any monster you hunt. The Claw Blade attaches to a monster and you can fly around it for quick combos.

And that’s all the weapons you can use in Wild Hearts.
