OSRS: How to Beat Wyrms (Location and Drop)

The snakes in Old School Runescape are some of the easiest, but also the trickiest, enemies you can defeat. These are dragon creatures that give important drops when killed. These include a chance to get a dragon sword, a harpoon, a knife, and a throwing axe. You will also receive Wyrm Bones as a guaranteed trophy for defeating them. But this fight can get tough if you’re not ready. So, here is how you can defeat the Wyrms in OSRS and where to find them.

How to defeat Wyrms in Old School Runescape

You can defeat the Wyrm using melee or ranged attacks. The most important thing you need to fight the Wyrm is a level 62 Exterminator. Other than that, there aren’t many other criteria that you need to meet for this fight. And finally, you will also need boots that are resistant to floor fire damage, including: boots of stone, boots of brimstone, or granite boots. Once you have any of the above boots and a level 62 assassin, here’s how you can fight the Wyrm:

When fighting a Wyrm in melee, try to use a dragon hunter’s spear, as Wyrms are weak to it. Also, make sure the armor you’re wearing provides good protection against magic. Snakes are capable of both melee and magical attacks. So strong armor is useful in a fight with one of them. The piercing weapon is the next best weapon you can use against the Wyrm. One such weapon that you can use is the Void Dagger. Take away his health and you will defeat the Wyrm.

When it comes to fighting the Wyrm from a safe location, the best weapon you can use is the Dragon Hunter’s Crossbow. The good thing about ranged combat is that Wyrms won’t melee attack you when you fight them from a distance. So all you have to do is shoot the Wyrm and then corner him. Then keep shooting at him from out of range. While this method is the safest, it is also quite time consuming.

After defeating the Wyrm for the first time, you will receive the Slippery Ground Impact achievement.

How to get to Wyrms in OSRS (location)

You can find Wyrms inside the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon.

1. Use the fairy ring with the CIR code.
2. Climb Mount Karuulm and then take the elevator down.
3. Turn left as you reach down and you should end up in a room full of Wyrms.
