Cuphead Characters to Know About (Devil, Elder Kettle, Porcrind and more)

Cuphead has always had a niche audience. But its popularity skyrocketed when its video game version was released in 2017. After the first edition of Cuphead: Don’t Deal With The Devil, the next expansion, The Delicious Last Course, was recently released in 2022. If you want to get up to date on a game or show then you are in the right place. With that said, here are the main Cuphead characters you should be aware of in the game.

All Cuphead characters – main and secondary

We have listed all the main characters of the game, as well as the most prominent secondary characters. While some of these are playable characters, others are bosses and NPCs that you encounter in the game. So, without further ado, here is our list of Cuphead characters:

Cuphead

Cuphead is the protagonist of the run and shoot video game. This is the first playable character you will encounter at the very beginning. As the name suggests, Cuphead has a striped straw with white and red stripes inside its head, which is nothing more than a wide cup filled with milk. He is Mugman’s older twin brother and the bravest of the two. However, his bravery endangers his and his brother’s lives early in the game. This happens when he makes a deal with the Devil at the casino. After losing the bet, he and his brother are forced to collect the souls of the Devil’s debtors by midnight.

Magman

Mugman is the exact opposite of his twin brother Cuphead. While Mugman’s appearance is almost similar to his brother, the only distinguishing feature is his blue color scheme compared to Cuphead’s red. In addition, Mugman is timid, cautious, and also shows concern for his reckless brother, Cuphead.

Miss Chalice

Miss Chalice is the third playable character in the Cuphead DLC. True to her name, she is a light yellow bowl with gold and white straws coming out of her head. You can change her to one of Cuphead or Mugman by equipping the Astral Cookie Charm.

Elder Kettle

Elder Kettle is one of the most prominent characters in Cuphead. His appearance is that of a large teapot paired with a brown cane, slippers, and a pair of glasses. The elderly character is the father, caretaker and mentor of the twin brothers. He plays a crucial role in helping the twin brothers get out of the big mess. Elder Kettle also gives them a couple of potions that give both brothers the ability to use weapons.

Pork rind

He is a character in Cuphead who sells amulets and weapons extremely useful to players in boss fights. Porcrind is actually a pig-headed man with light orange skin and a moustache. He also wears an eyepatch over his right eye. However, he is known to be quite cordial with the players in the game.

Devil

Finally, we have Devil himself, who is Cuphead’s strongest character to date. He is the main antagonist and also the final boss in Cuphead. He rules over Inkwell Hell and first appears to Cuphead and Mugman at the casino. That’s when he hatches his devious plan to pledge all the loot to the casino if the brothers win. But as the brothers lose, they are forced to give up their souls. However, the Devil gives them a second opportunity: he instructs the brothers to collect all the souls of their debtors.

legendary bowl

She is a ghostly NPC that players must rescue in Cuphead. You can encounter the Legendary Chalice in the Mausoleum levels and you will have to rescue it in order to learn the Super Art.
