Sons of the Forest: how to use a zipline with a rope gun

If you’ve played The Forest, you’re probably familiar with ziplines. This is one of the best ways to quickly go down the hill and across the chasms in the sequel – including in Sons of the Forest. Here’s how to use them:

How to use Zipline in Sons of the Forest

To use the zipline in The Forest, you will need a Rope Gun. It is also called a zipline because it helps you to descend safely and quickly from a height. It’s pretty easy to use, but if you haven’t played The Forest before, you might have a hard time. Below are the steps to use the rope cannon:

First make sure you have a rope gun in your inventory. Then approach a cliff or any other place that will allow you to create a downward zipline. Aim the rope cannon on the ground where you want it to go down and left click to fire. This will be your first anchor point. Then aim the rope cannon just above where you are standing and left click again to set the second anchor point. You will now have the perfect angle to slide down from Sons of The Forest.

Now all you need to do is slide down to the right place. Move to the point closest to you on the line and press the “E”key, which will immediately make you slide to the lowest point. As soon as you land, press the “E”key at the attachment point to get a Zipline Rope. Since the ammo for this weapon is scarce, conserve it whenever possible.
