All Ancestors of Harry Potter Characters in Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is a game based on the Harry Potter universe of the late 1800s. This means that the events in the game take place before what was presented in the books and films. As the game travels through time, we see some of the ancestors of the Harry Potter characters in the Hogwarts legacy. Let’s take a look at all the ancestors that appear in the game.

All ancestors that appear in Hogwarts Legacy

There are three important ancestors that players will see in Legacy of Hogwarts. They belong to the famous Black, Weasley, and Gaunt families. Let’s take a look at each of the ancestors appearing in Hogwarts Legacy below.

Phineas Nigellus Black

The least popular headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will appear in Hogwarts Legacy. He believes in pureblood excellence and was sorted into Slytherin during his time at Hogwarts. He is the ancestor of the great Black family.

We see many of his descendants in the Harry Potter books and films. He is the great-great-grandfather of Sirius Black, Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy. In addition, he is also the ancestor of Nymphadora Tonks and Draco Malfoy.

Matilda Weasley

The Weasley family remains one of the most beloved families of Harry Potter fans. We’ll also get to know one of the family’s ancestors through Hogwarts Legacy. Matilda Weasley is a professor of transfiguration and deputy headmaster of Hogwarts. She is a kind witch who helps the players at the beginning of the game.

The Transfiguration Professor has red hair, like most members of the Weasley family. She also ended up in Gryffindor, like the rest of the Weasley family. Although the exact nature of the origin is not yet known, we do know that she is the ancestor of Arthur Weasley. This also automatically makes her the ancestor of all Weasley children.

Ominis Gaunt

The Gaunt family is proud to be one of the oldest pureblood families. In Hogwarts Legacy, players will meet Ominis Gaunt, a Slytherin student. He befriends Sebastian Sallow, who wants to use Dark Magic to help his sister.

His family is one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight along with the Black and Weasley families. He is a descendant of Salazar Slytherin. We see many of his descendants in the Harry Potter books and films. The most famous of them was Tom Riddle. He is also the ancestor of Marvolo Gaunt, Morfin Gaunt, and Merope Riddle.
