If you’re interested in a very easy way to spruce up your jailbroken phone’s home screen without going overboard, then you can check out the recently released and free AppColorClose (iOS 12+) tweak from iOS developer PoomSmart. aesthetic addition.

This setting hides in the background, almost imperceptibly, until you put your iPhone or iPad’s home screen into edit mode, also sometimes called “wiggle”mode, or a mode where you can move app icons around and remove unwanted apps.

When entering edit mode with the AppColorClose (iOS 12+) setting set, the buttons used to initiate app removal will be colored according to the dominant color of the respective app icon, as shown in the screenshot example above.

For example, the Music app icon now has a red delete button, while the FaceTime and Messages app icons now have a green delete button, and the App Store app now has a blue delete button. Obviously, some of these apps can’t be uninstalled, so instead these buttons correspond to hiding those apps, except for those apps that can actually be uninstalled.

AppColorClose (iOS 12+) does wonders automatically based on the predominant color of your app’s icons, so there are no options to tweak. However, you won’t need to match the colors yourself.

If you’re interested in trying out AppColorClose (iOS 12+), you can download it for free from PoomSmart’s personal repository through your favorite package management app. The tweak supports jailbroken devices running iOS or iPadOS 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16.
