Console games have been around for years. Some models have become iconic, others have quickly sunk into oblivion. If you remember the console, then most often these are very good sides, but sometimes these errors are more or less annoying. The Xbox 360 had one that was enough to piss off a lot of gamers. During the Xbox 360 era, Microsoft caused a lot of controversy when it was discovered that more and more Xbox gamers were facing the same technical issue with their console showing the red console ring. Death (“Red Ring of Death”, “RRoD”).

This red ring has become a symbol that something is wrong with the console’s components, be it a component failure, insufficient power due to a faulty power supply, or something similar. Luckily, Microsoft’s Xbox consoles have since fixed these issues, or at least the hardware issues aren’t as common as they are on the Xbox 360.
