Sony Music Entertainment releases Lionel Messi animated series

A living football legend, Argentine striker Lionel Messi will soon be the star of an animated series for Sony Music Entertainment.

A Sony Music Entertainment animated series for children and teens is currently being developed under the direction of Leo Messi Management SL, in which a young Lionel Messi faces various obstacles during his journey through a video game. Several artists and composers from the Japanese giant’s music labels will take care of the soundtrack.

Fernando Cabral, Executive Vice President of Business Development for the Latin Iberian Region of Sony Music Entertainment, said:

Lionel Messi has signed an agreement with Sony to create an animated series

This is the first children’s animation project from SME’s “premium content”division, which will ensure its development and distribution. It will also be available in English, Spanish and several other languages.

Participation in an animation project makes me happy, because thanks to it one of my dreams comes true!
