Apple still has Mac Intel in the box

Apple will still have a Mac with an Intel processor. It will be a Mac Pro due to application compatibility issues.

Ever since Apple announced its intention to distance itself from Intel in 2020, the Cupertino-based company has launched new Macs based on its own Apple Silicon processors. To date, the Apple brand has not formalized any new model with an Intel chip. However, it may seem that a new benchmark has yet to be released with such a chip. Explanation.

Apple will continue to release Macs with an Intel processor

If the MacRumors report is to be believed, it would appear that the Cupertino company still has an Intel Mac for sale, and logically it would be a Mac Pro. For those who don’t know, the Mac Pro is Apple’s highest performing PC to date, designed and built for resource-intensive professionals. In fact, it will be interesting to see how Apple intends to address this issue in their Apple Silicon project in terms of CPU and GPU performance.

It will be a Mac Pro due to application compatibility issues.

We’ll have to wait and see what it is, of course, but the report in question suggests that Apple could offer at least a new generation of Mac Pro Intel with Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The main reason for this decision is application compatibility. Indeed, if the Rosetta 2 software can currently drive the “transformation”of applications, the report suggests that the Cupertino company would like to wait until the project is more mature and more efficient before making it available to professional clients.

There are already several articles claiming that Apple will eventually switch its Mac Pro to Apple Silicon chips, and using a homemade chip could even allow the American giant to downsize the machine, make it more compact but just as powerful, if not bigger.
