Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Plus camera, display and specs leaked

Samsung may release its upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S22 series, in the first quarter of next year, and is expected to have three phones – Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Samsung will offer advanced features of the Galaxy S22 series.

The top device in the series, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, will reportedly feature a 108MP quad-camera setup. Now, the latest developments have leaked the display and camera specs of two other phones, the vanilla S22 and S22+. Let’s take a look at the display and camera specs of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus.

Although the launch of the Galaxy S22 series is in a couple of months, the display and camera specifications of the devices have been leaked. Popular analyst IceUniverse has shared more details on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus. According to general information, Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus will use the same camera configuration.

Both phones will feature a 50MP triple camera setup, the 50MP main sensor will have an f/1.8 aperture and a sensor size of 1/1.57″. It will feature a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 1/3.94-inch sensor with 3x zoom capability. The devices will use a 12MP super wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a camera size of 1/2.55″.

The front of the devices will use a 10-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 1/3.24-inch sensor size. Apart from camera details, the leaker also shared the screen size of both phones. The Samsung Galaxy S22 will have a screen size of 6.06 inches while the Galaxy S22 Plus will have a screen size of 6.55 inches. Both phones are expected to feature AMOLED displays.

Although there is not much information about the specifications of the phones at the moment, there are rumors that Samsung may finally use a Snapdragon SoC instead of its own Exynos. The Galaxy S22 Plus Ultra was recently spotted on benchmark website Geekbench with an Exynos 2200 SoC. Previously leaked images further confirmed that the phone could have an S-Pen.
