Apple introduces self-repair for iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and iPhone SE

Back in November 2021, Apple unexpectedly announced that it would offer users a self-service iPhone and Mac repair program. Apple DIY Repair is now available in the US, allowing interested nerds and geeks to purchase genuine products from the official website and then have the device repaired according to the manual’s instructions.

The app is now available for iPhone 12, iPhone 13 service devices, and iPhone SE (3rd generation). Interested buyers can purchase parts and access the manual directly from the Apple Self-Service Store. Online stores offer more than 200 spare parts, as well as the tools needed to repair various devices.

Apple DIY Repair

This program is very useful for those who understand the complexities of electronic device repair to repair the iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE (3rd generation) line. In stores, you can buy spare parts such as display, battery and camera. Later this year, the program will also include manuals, parts, and repair tools for Macs with Apple chipsets.

Before ordering a part, the user must review the repair manual for the product they wish to repair by visiting support.apple.com/self-service-repair. They can then visit the Apple Self-Service Store and order the necessary parts and tools. Prices for all replacement parts available in the store are the same as Apple Authorized Repair Shops. For certain repairs, customers will receive a credit when they return the replaced part for recycling.

In addition, Apple will also offer rental tool kits for $49, allowing customers to use them for a week and then return them. The kit will be delivered free of charge. Apple Self-Service Repair is available in the US and will expand to other countries starting in Europe later this year.
