Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+ spotted on TENAA with 6.6-inch display, launch imminent
Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note series needs to be updated. The range of smartphones is updated every six months. The Redmi Note 11 series debuted last October and now it’s time for its successor, the Redmi Note 12 series, to take charge. The Note 12 series is said to include three smartphones – the vanilla Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+.
Two new smartphones believed to be from the upcoming Note 12 series have been spotted on the TENAA listing and some key specs have been revealed. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series and everything we know so far.
Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+ may arrive in China soon
According to Xiaomi’s schedule, the Note series launched in the first half of the year will focus on high-performance products, while phones in the second half will feature balanced configurations.
The TENAA listing shows two smartphones with model numbers 22041216UC and 22041216C. Redmi Note 12 Pro is considered to be 22041216C and 22041216UC could be Note 12 Pro+.
The Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+, according to the TENAA listing, have a 4980mAh and 4300mAh battery respectively. Both smartphones have a 6.6-inch display, are 8.8mm thick and run Android 12. The Note 12 Pro can be seen in two RAM + storage configurations – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.
However, the TENAA listing does not reveal the design or other components of the smartphone. We expect to find out more information about these smartphones over time.
These smartphones have previously been licensed to access the network and are expected to be released in May 2022. Rumor has it that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series will feature a high-end MediaTek processor rather than Qualcomm. It is possible that Xiaomi will eventually use MediaTek Dimensity 1300 or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processors in the Redmi Note 12 series.
The Redmi Note 12 series, according to DCS, will have a distinctive industrial style, high performance and extended battery life.
