Riot Games acquires a minority stake in Fortiche Production
Fortiche Production opens up its capital to Riot Games to deepen their longstanding partnership.
In addition to holding a significant minority stake in the French animation studio, which will remain fully independent in its operations, Riot Games will join the board of directors of Fortiche Production and will be represented by Chief Content Officer Brian Wright and Director of Corporate Development Brendan Mulligan. For reference, Fortiche has been working closely with Riot for nearly a decade on commercials, trailers, music videos and, most recently, the Arcane animated series for the Netflix streaming platform.
“Fortiche Production has been an important partner for a long time, but this agreement ensures that we continue to work closely together for decades,” said Nicolo Laurent, CEO of Riot Games.
“We have very high quality standards for everyone we work with and we insist that they understand the players and always focus on them. From day one, Fortiche has made players a priority. Working with Fortiche, we’re collaborating to push the boundaries of what’s possible and improve what you can expect from media representation of games. We are proud of Arcane, but we know the best is yet to come.”
Pascal Charroux, Jérôme Combe and Arnaud Delors, co-founders of Fortiche Production, add: “Various collaborations with Riot Games, and especially with Arcane, have made Fortiche Production a new major player in the international animation scene. Through their trust, Riot Games has provided us with the means to realize our shared ambitions and proven that we can offer new content that can reach a large audience. In 2023, we will celebrate the tenth anniversary of our cooperation. There is no better way to symbolize the trust and ambition of our two companies than this association! ”
