Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S22 series. The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event will take place on February 9th. Samsung will unveil three flagship smartphones at the event. These include the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Ultra, and S22+.

The company will announce pricing and availability information for the three devices for different markets after the global announcement. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S22 launch schedule, specifications and other details.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Launch Schedule

According to a new leak, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is about to launch globally. Tipster Yogesh Brar, who made the announcement, did not give an exact launch date. A recent leak claimed that the S22 Ultra will go on sale in select markets in February, while the S22 and S22+ will be available for purchase on March 11th.

Other details about the S22 models have been leaked in the past. The Galaxy S22 series will ship with a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the region. The devices run OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.

The Ultra model will feature a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with 2K resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 1750 nits and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top. The 40MP front camera is housed inside a center-aligned hole-punch cutout.

On the back of the Ultra is a quad-camera setup with a 108MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, and two 10MP telephoto lenses. It packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.

The S22 and S22+ have a triple camera on the back. They have a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom. For selfies, the phones have a 10-megapixel front camera.

The S22 has a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display, while the S22+ has a 6.6-inch AMOLED display. Both phones support 120Hz refresh rates and 1300nit peak brightness. The S22 has a 3700mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, while the Plus model has a 4500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
