Samsung Galaxy Note series is officially dead, company confirms, but not S Pen
Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S22 series worldwide. Samsung has released three flagship smartphones of the S22 series. While the S22 and S22+ share the same design as their predecessors, the S22 Ultra has received a major overhaul. Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 Ultra with a square design and an S Pen slot that reminds you of the Galaxy Note series.
There have been rumors that Samsung is ending the Note series, and today Samsung has officially confirmed that the Note line is being discontinued. However, one of the key characteristics of the Note series will remain.
Samsung Galaxy Note series discontinued
Samsung has officially discontinued the Galaxy Note series. Smartphone company CEO Ro Tae Moon has confirmed the death of the Galaxy Note series. The chief executive told reporters (via The Verge) at MWC 2022 that “Galaxy Note will come out as an Ultra.”If you haven’t figured it out yet, Tae Moon was calling the Galaxy S22 Ultra the new Note. With the S Pen slot, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has all the features that the Samsung Galaxy Note series offers in a smartphone. These include a large display, high performance, S Pen software settings that boost productivity and creativity, flagship camera sensors, and more.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra as its latest smartphone in the Galaxy Note series in 2020. The Note series was then replaced by Samsung’s futuristic line of foldable smartphones. The latest set of foldable smartphones from the brand is the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. Rumor has it that the company will include an S Pen slot in the Z Fold 4 this year. So despite Samsung killing off the iconic Galaxy Note series, this not so much considering the fact that the Galaxy S22 Ultra offers everything you need from a Galaxy Note.
