Snoop Dogg is going to grow weed in the Metaverse and wants you to do the same
Snoop Dogg is about to grow digital grass in the metaverse, a project he is about to pursue with Mobland.
Snoop Dogg is more than a rapper. The American artist is a pioneer in many areas, not hesitating to take on projects that are sometimes very far from music. In addition to being the first rapper to enter the metaverse, Snoop Dogg will be the first to grow digital weed there.

And for the artist’s son, Champ de Medici, this metaverse grass farming project comes as no surprise. He also willingly lends his help: “Cannabis and gamepads live side by side with him, so it is no coincidence that the metaverse and digital weed are combined.”
The rapper has every intention of growing digital weed on his virtual piece of land at The Sandbox (SAND). And, of course, this initiative will be accompanied by the sale of a limited edition collection of digital grass farms.
The project he will be doing with Mobland
To do this, Snoop Dogg decided to partner with Mobland, which proudly boasts of being “the very first mafia of the metaverse.”What’s more, Roy Liu, co-founder of the company, explains that this project is looking for “other ways to contribute to the cannabis community.”And add: “NFT 1.0 is about individual character and object, NFT 2.0 is about land and real estate, NFT 3.0 is about trade and utility in addition to land and real estate.”
Snoop Dogg explains his vision for this thing, which again goes beyond this simple project: “When it comes to flipping hamburgers at McDonald’s, be the best hamburger flipper in the world. Whatever you do, you must master your craft. I have honed my craft for decades. My son showed me the importance of working with Mobland to implement the very first digital farms in the form of NFTs. There’s a paradigm shift happening here and I want to be at the forefront of it.”
We don’t know anything about the details of this collaboration with Mobland yet, but when we know that the Mobland community has 500,000 members, with a record sale of 8,000 NFTs in 18 short minutes, we tell ourselves that Snoop Dogg has chosen a very interesting partner. Should we expect weeds to invade the metaverse?
