Sony PlayStation 5 goes back to pre-order February 22 at 12:00 pm: here’s where you can get your hands on it
The next PlayStation 5 shipment has been confirmed to be scheduled for February 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM. The console will be available at retailers such as Amazon, ShopatSC and GamesTheShop. This will be the second replenishment in 2022, the last replenishment will take place in January.
The PS5 remains a highly elusive console, and with supply chains remaining much the same, if not worse, buying a console will be just as difficult as it is in 2021. a pretty solid catalog of games on offer with big hits like Deathloop, Hitman 3 and now Horizon Forbidden West.
Pre-orders for the next generation console will go live at 12:00 on February 22, 2022.

The PlayStation 5 has two options: a standard disc version and a digital version. The Digital Edition console costs $133 less than the standard $533. The reason the price is lower than the disc variant is because there is no optical disc drive.
This essentially means that players will only be able to play digitally downloaded games on the PS5 Digital Edition. According to industry insider Rishi Alwani, the PS5 was the top-selling console in 2021, beating the Xbox Series X/S by 10:1. Curiously, the more expensive standard version of the console accounted for 90% of PS5 sales.
It looks like 2022 will be another strong year for the PlayStation as major releases are on the horizon, including God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring, and Gran Turismo 7. Reports also suggest that PlayStation plans to launch a subscription service similar to Xbox Game Pass. but confirmation from Sony has not yet been received.
