Vivo X Fold, the company’s first foldable phone, has a design revealed in a leaked diagram

Vivo is rumored to launch its first foldable smartphone in China this year. According to reports, the company may introduce its first foldable smartphone called Vivo X Fold. The debut of the device may take place in March. However, Vivo hasn’t confirmed official launch details, and as such, we’d advise taking the leaked launch timeline with a pinch of salt. Meanwhile, a leak has revealed the design diagram for Vivo’s foldable smartphone.

Digital chat station Tipster (via GizmoChina) has uploaded a design rendering of the Vivo X Fold on Weibo. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X Fold design scheme, specifications and other leaked details.

Foldable Vivo X design

Vivo X Fold will compete with Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Oppo Find N. It may enter global markets after debuting in China. Official launch details are awaited. Meanwhile, design diagrams show that the phone has a notch in the center of the top of the screen. It also shows that the right edge of the phone has a curved edge to provide a more immersive viewing experience.

The diagram does not show the internal display of the foldable phone. Reports suggest that there will be a hole punch cutout in the top right half of the foldable display.

On the back of the phone, there is a huge rectangular block that houses a round camera module. There are four large cutouts in the circular camera module, one of which appears to be for the periscope camera. The X Fold will offer a main camera, an ultrawide camera, and possibly another portrait/telephoto camera. It also has two tiny cutouts for the microphone and other sensors. The LED flash is placed outside the camera module on a rectangular block.

Other leaked specs include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The OLED screen protector will be 6.5 inches tall and have Full HD+ resolution. Inside there will be an 8-inch screen with a resolution of QHD+. The folding screen will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate display.

The quad-camera setup is said to include a 50MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. It will also feature an 8MP periscope lens with 5x zoom and a 12MP portrait camera with 2x zoom. Other details of the foldable phone remain unknown. We will share the details as soon as they become available.
