YouTube will offer movies and series to stream for free
It would seem that Netflix is now preparing for the emergence of a new competitor, a strong competitor, since it is directly YouTube. YouTube already offers YouTube TV, but Mountain View wants to take streaming even further by launching series and movies that users can watch for free. Of course, to be able to offer this content for free, you will have to deal with ads, but if that doesn’t bother you too much, then you can discover this content without paying a dime.
with advertising
According to YouTube’s official statement, “YouTube is at the forefront of customers’ transition to connected TV audiences as the first ad-supported streaming platform, with content that users love and the creators they love. Today, for the first time, American users will be able to watch full seasons of TV shows on YouTube for free with ads.”
Keep in mind that you won’t be eligible to watch the latest series and movies for free, but if you want to catch up on some content or see great classics again, this can be a very interesting option. Initially, this feature will only be available in the US. We French users will have to wait before we can take advantage of this. Hope the wait isn’t too long.
