Oppo introduces 150W SuperVOOC charging from 0 to 100% in 15 minutes.
Oppo introduces 150W SuperVOOC technology that can charge a 4500mAh battery from 0 to 100% in 15 minutes.
If our smartphones today are an incredible concentrate of technology, veritable performance monsters, they are still on the hunt for their built-in battery. This gives them a barely acceptable overall autonomy, and it seems very difficult to achieve real breakthrough innovations in this matter. Therefore, manufacturers are working hard on recharging. Oppo has just unveiled the world’s fastest charger, 150W SuperVOOC technology.
Oppo Introduces 150W SuperVOOC Technology
The battery technology of our smartphones has not changed or changed very little since the first smartphones hit the market. Therefore, without real improvement in this matter, we expect our devices to charge very quickly. Oppo has just unveiled its new 150W SuperVOOC charging technology, which the company calls the world’s fastest.
According to Oppo, its 150W SuperVOOC technology can charge a 4500mAh battery from 0 to 50% in just 5 minutes and from 0 to 100% in 15 minutes. Not bad right? That’s less time than it takes to watch an episode of a sitcom. In other words, you can start the Friends streak again! – and your smartphone would be fully charged!

That being said, the problem with fast charging is that it generates heat. To counter this, Oppo has created the Battery Health Engine, conceived and designed to closely monitor the battery and in particular its temperature. The brand also has a built-in security system that automatically activates if something goes wrong. This system also ensures that the battery can deliver 80% of its capacity after 1600 charge cycles.
Oppo won’t be the first to experiment with such charging systems. Last year, Infinix introduced a concept smartphone equipped with a 160W charger. Obviously, charging is one of the top priorities for R&D departments in anticipation of a real novelty in terms of battery. Oppo regularly makes significant strides in this regard. And that’s good for the general public.
